Federal Work Study Program
Luzerne County Community College participates in the Federal Work Study Program which provides part-time jobs to undergraduate students enrolled at the college. Students must have Satisfactory Academic Progress, have a completed FAFSA which demonstrates a financial need, and be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits to participate in the program.
All applicants must complete a Work Study Application. Click button below or apply in person by going to the Financial Aid Office, Building 5, and Room 508.
Work study positions are available on all LCCC campuses and at Non Profit Organizations in the community. Please specify on your application if you have a job preference.
- Student who meet eligibility requirements will meet with a Financial Aid Specialist for placement and to complete and process payroll paperwork;
- Students will then meet with the Work Study Supervisor for their specific Work Study placements to discuss job position and requirements.
Students can earn $14.50 an hour and can work a maximum of 20 hours per week while enrolled in school.
Students are paid bi-weekly. Work Study checks are sent to students by U.S. Postal Mail. Direct deposit or check pickup options are not currently available.
