LCCC offers free training for the student who needs to pass the actual GED exam as well as improve basic workplace & technology skills. The curriculum is based on the College and Career Readiness Standards.

The Adult Learners' Training and Assistance (ALTA) Program has free classes to help adults improve their basic reading, writing, and math skills; prepare to take a high school equivalency test such as GED or HiSet; and increase their English language skills (ESL).
