30 Hour Paramedic Transition

The Paramedic Transition Course provides current and perspective Paramedic Providers the required content and resources to obtain or maintain National Registry Certification. The 30 hour Paramedic Transition course focuses on scenario-based education and psychomotor skill stations. The course also includes re-certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. ACLS-R and/or PALS-R can be taken separate from the transition course. Dates: 1/18, 20, 21, 22, 25, 27/2023.

Pre-Hospital Registered Nurse

The Luzerne County Community College Emergency Medical Service Department will be sponsoring a Pre-Hospital Registered Nurse Program. The PHRN Program is designed to prepare currently licensed candidates to participate as advanced level providers in the challenging field of prehospital emergency medicine. The program consists of lecture, laboratory, and skill stations with an emphasis on scenario based training. Successful candidates are eligible to participate in the National Registry Emergency Medical Technician Psychomotor and Paramedic Cognitive Examinations. Course cost does not include books, uniforms, on-line access materials. Candidates must have a current PA State Board of Nursing License and CPR BLS Certification.
