LCCC's RESTART program
Sometimes you need a restart.
No matter the circumstances, you shouldn't miss out on your education. Luzerne County Community College is committed to helping you with a new opportunity to pick-up where you left off and help you accomplish your higher education and career goals.
Welcome to LCCC's RESTART program.
If you've been away from LCCC and have accrued institutional debt that has become difficult to pay back, the RESTART program may be what you need. By enrolling again with the goal of obtaining a degree or certificate, your prior LCCC debt will be waived.
Here's how it works:
Students would apply for acceptance into the College and RESTART program. Accepted students who successfully meet the program's requirements, which include signing a RESTART Commitment agreement, meeting academic progress requirements, attending financial literacy workshops, and academic advising and career counseling sessions, would be eligible to have 25% of their unpaid tuition and fees relieved after the completion of each successful semester.
The program would be open to individuals who are currently not enrolled at the College, but attended LCCC between August 2012 and August 2022, and have unpaid tuition and fees with the College of $200 or higher.
Here are the next steps:
APPLY for the RESTART program with College's Online RESTART application;
Meet with a RESTART Team Advisor to confirm unpaid balance, review programs requirements, and discuss Financial Aid.
Re-enroll at the College in a degree seeking program;
Sign RESTART Commitment Agreement.
RESTART is a one-time opportunity, it's your best shot at erasing your prior college debt, earning your degree or certificate, entering a fulfilling career, and/or transferring to a four-year college or university.
