Position Title: FT Business Office Assistant

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  1. Education - One (1) year formal study beyond High School (or equivalent)

  2. Experience - Two (2) years appropriate business experience with emphasis on public contact

  3. Skills - Demonstrated typing and the use of office machines; communication skills both oral and written; demonstrated use of computers

    Position Responsibilities:

    Post payments from all sources to student accounts and process refunds as needed; prepare and mail quarterly invoices to students; file as needed; respond to in-person, phone and email inquiries in a timely manner; assist with non-credit billing and account adjustments as needed; post scholarship payments; post and follow up on returned checks; post Library and parking fines; prepare and post billing for advanced placement testing; prepare cash deposits for bank; accept and verify deposits from clubs and student activities; post payments from collection agencies and refund as needed; operate remote deposit scanner; balance and reconcile daily sessions; rebill and write off student accounts as directed; process fines from returned checks and notify students; maintain accurate PERC comments.

    Entry Salary: $27,300

    Standard Work Week: 35 hours
