Position Title: FT Articulation Partnership Specialist

Position Classification: Full-Time Twelve (12) Month Faculty

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  1. Education - Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the instruction or administration of accredited college credit and non-credit programs; master's degree preferred.

  2. Experience - Three (3) years of related work experience including teaching, curriculum development, and assessment. Knowledge of Pennsylvania and federal regulations pertaining to the implementation of credit and non-credit programs preferred; Experience with maintaining and updating articulation and dual enrollment agreements. Familiarity with Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) accreditation and the National Alliance of Concurrent Educational Partnerships (NACEP) National Standards for Quality preferred.

  3. Skills - Ability to manage the logistics of establishing, implementing, and ensuring the quality of the Early College Program. Able to support the delivery of course and program offerings at remote locations; Proficiency in software and technology related to instruction; Excellent communication skills; Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously; Strong organizational skills; Knowledge of evaluation and assessment of student learning and student learning outcomes; Ability to implement various assessment instruments in different modalities.

    Position Responsibilities:

    Acts as the liaison to the high schools, Career Technical Centers (CTC), and other secondary institutions within Luzerne County Community College's service area, the Articulation Partnership Specialist will work with the Education Partnership Specialist to manage the Early College program and to identify early college programming that will a.) align with the school district's needs and preferences and b.) increase early college student matriculation to LCCC; Support the delivery of LCCC courses and programs conducted at the high schools, Career Technical Centers (CTC), and other secondary institutions within Luzerne County Community College's service area; Work closely with both the school district and appropriate LCCC faculty and staff to ensure early college programs meet state and federal mandates and adhere to Middle States Commission of Higher Education (MSCHE) accreditation standards and requirements of affiliation; Use the six National Alliance of Concurrent Educational Partnerships (NACEP) standards to guide the implementation of the LCCC Early College Program. This includes but is not limited to a.) establishing ongoing collaborations among key personnel- teachers, curriculum directors, and supervisors and b.) ensuring appropriate evaluations are conducted at each Early College remote location under the supervision of the Vice President of Academic Affairs and Chairs; Under the supervision of the Vice President of Academic Affairs and Chairs, support initiatives related to the assessment of student learning and student learning outcomes to ensure courses offered in the high school are similar in scope and rigor to those offered at LCCC locations; As a team member with the Vice President of Academic Affairs, Vice President of Enrollment Management & Student Affairs, Chairs, Coordinators, Dean of Curriculum, Director of the Master Schedule, Information Technology, and Admissions, coordinate assigned activities with other college departments; Work with the Education Partnership Specialist to promote the Early College Program. This includes but is not limited to a.) attendance at high school and school district events as deemed appropriate and b.) assisting in the maintenance and updating of promotion materials, websites, and other materials related to early college programming; Under the guidance of the Vice President of Academic Affairs, this position will support the establishment and maintenance of program and course-course transfer and articulation agreements with but not limited to four-year institutions, post-baccalaureate and graduate-focused institutions, and professional schools; Position requires travel among LCCC main campus, centers, and secondary schools; Position requires evening and weekend work hours.

    Entry Salary: $48,168.00/annual

    Standard Work Week: 35 hours
