Luzerne County Community College will hold an eleven-week summer session offering several online and virtual online courses beginning Tuesday, June 2 through Thursday, August 6. Final exams will be held from Monday, August 10 through Thursday, August 13.

Online and virtual courses scheduled to be offered include Accounting, Art Appreciation, Business, Computer Information Systems, English, Spanish, Speech, History, Math, Science, Psychology, and Sociology. Also, Early Childhood Education, Economics, English as a Second Language (ESL), Health Sciences, Music Appreciation, Nursing, Philosophy, Political Science, and others.

LCCC will hold an online Student Art Exhibit at the College's Schulman Gallery webpage featuring the work of students in the LCCC Communication Arts program. The online photographic slide show will include paintings, illustrations, photographs, and sculptures. Campus Candids - LCCC Award Winners!

Students enrolled in the dental hygiene program from the Mary Gill Carrozza, R.N. School of Nursing and Health Sciences at the Francis S. and Mary Gill Carrozza, R.N. Health Sciences Center won first place in a national student chapter video competition sponsored by their professional organization, the American Dental Hygienists' Association. Maureen Savner, professor and coordinator of dental hygiene at LCCC, was selected by her peers to receive the John and Suanne Roueche Teaching Excellence Award from the League for Innovation which recognizes faculty members for excellence in teaching, innovation in instruction, commitment to student success, contributions to the mission and goals of the College, commitment to diversity, and cooperative spirit. Jordany Krawinkel, was named LCCC's Outstanding Adult Learner of the Year for 2020 and LCCC students Dianna Higgins and Gina Carsia were named to the 2020 All-PA Academic Team. LCCC staff members Sue Conti and Irena Mira were recognized by the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) with its 2020 Excellence Awards which recognize outstanding faculty and staff whose work reflects a commitment to LCCC's mission and goals and who have demonstrated on-going involvement in the College community and the community-at-large; involvement in professional development activities; respect for diversity; and a student-centered approach to serving students.
