Position Title: FT Instructor/Assistant Professor of Architectural Engineering Technology

Position Classification: Full-Time Nine (9) Month Faculty

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Academic Rank: Instructor

  1. Education - Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

  2. Experience - Two (2) years of professional experience in architectural engineering technology or a related field; teaching experience at a post-secondary level is preferred.

  3. Skills - Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in architectural design and drafting; strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations; commitment to student success, academic excellence, and continuous professional development.

Academic Rank: Assistant Professor

  1. Education - Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

  2. Experience - Eight (8) years of professional experience in architectural engineering technology or a related field; teaching experience at a post-secondary level is preferred.

  3. Skills - Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in architectural design and drafting; strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations; commitment to student success, academic excellence, and continuous professional development.

Position Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver engaging curriculum in architectural engineering technology courses, ensuring alignment with program objectives and industry standards; facilitate student learning through lectures, discussions, hands-on labs, and other appropriate instructional methods; provide guidance and mentorship to students, supporting their academic and professional development; access student performance, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress; collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum, develop new courses, and improve instructional strategies; stay current with industry trends and advancements in architectural engineering technology to continuously update and improve course content; participate in departmental meetings, faculty committees, and college-wide initiatives as required; contribute to the college community through service activities and engagement with stakeholders.

Entry Salary: Instructor - $40,147/Assistant Professor - $43,807

Standard Work Week: 35 hours
