Position Title: Adjunct - Parent Pathways Practitioner

Position Classification: Adjunct Faculty

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  1. Education - B.S. in Education or related field (Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education,)

  2. Experience - Experience working with adults and their families preferred; including basic skills instruction, recruitment, retention, and transition.

  3. Skills - Well-developed communication, recruiting, instructional, retention, and transition skills; computer literate; working knowledge of adult education and early childhood education theory, principles, and learning strategies preferred.

    Position Responsibilities:

    The Parent Pathways Practitioner will be responsible to the Program Administrator(s) for the following: facilitating group, cooperative, and individual remediation strategy and career activity workshops for individuals preparing to complete their General Education Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Exam; planning and implementing parenting education and interactive literacy activities; providing appropriate career guidance and weekly workshops in accordance with guidelines; serving as a resource person to the administrators regarding the needs of the students; assisting in conducting and arranging group meetings; assisting in ensuring weekly program forms are completed and submitted timely; maintaining accurate attendance records; attending and/or assisting with local training sessions and professional development meetings of staff in support of individual professional needs; maintaining complete records on all students and delivered services; participating in professional evaluations with peers and supervisors; and such other duties as may be assigned.

    Entry Salary: $22.00/hour
