Position Title: FT Esport Manager

Position Classification: Full-Time Administration

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  1. Education - Associate's Degree; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

  2. Experience - One (1) year experience with esports involving multiplayer online video games with team-based elements; expert knowledge of a minimum of one (1) competitive egame is required; coaching and recruitment experience preferred.

  3. Skills - Demonstrate a vision for a collegiate esports program; work independently in community settings and collaboratively as a member of a team; excellent oral and written communication skills.

    Position Responsibilities:

    Responsible for the operations of esport and esport athletics teams in coordination with the Director of Student Life and Athletic; adhere to all applicable federal, state, and institutional policies; administering in coordination with the Director of Student Life all aspects of the team programming including recruiting, promoting, coaching, requisitioning, and maintaining equipment and uniforms, in accordance; actively recruit student-athletes within LCCC and from College service area; assist with budget operations, team travel arrangements, and fundraising activities; ensures the College meets all esports and the collegiate athletic conference regulations, including managing all gaming licensing and permissions; ensure that all players are respectful and display good sportsmanship when representing the College; represents the College on the highest professional level with dignity, integrity, and strength of character; focuses on retention of students by providing an outstanding student-athlete experience with a focus on their academic pursuit; ensures ongoing eligibility of student-athletes in the esports program and monitors their academic performances; plans and directs eSports skill development including game fundamentals and rules of eSports; support athletes in the development of game skills, techniques, and strategies to compete effectively and competently; in coordination with the Director schedule use of facilities, and keeps the Director informed of the condition of equipment and facilities; coordinate esport facility usage and needs with esport academic programs faculty; reports team results to the Director of Student Life and Athletics immediately following each game; coordinates team engagement activities with local K-12 schools and the community; lead the implementation of all entrepreneur activities related to esport program; serves as the primary spokesperson for the program in the community and represents the College at conference, community, and recruitment events relating to esports; must be willing to work flexible hours to include evening and weekends as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Entry Salary: $41,778.81/annual

    Standard Work Week: 35 Hours
