Position Title: PT All One Recovery Education Institute (AREI) Certified Recovery Specialist (Grant Funded Position)

Position Classification: Part-Time Administration

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  1. Education - Associates Degree in Human Services or related field; valid Certified Recovery Specialist certification through the Pennsylvania Certification Board.

  2. Experience - One (1) year experience providing direct service to students and/or clients in education or social service setting; experience working with individuals in recovery preferred.

  3. Skills - Self-identified person in recovery; work independently in community settings and collaboratively as a member of a team; possess knowledge of community resources and willing to learn about and seek out community resources to assist peers and excellent oral and written communication skills.

    Position Responsibilities:

    Under the direction of the Director, All One Recovery Education Institute help recruit, identify qualified participants, enroll and support students through networking with campus personnel and community agencies and institutions on and off campus; facilitate small group interaction; act as a role model to students striving for recovery by inspiring hope, share life experiences and lessons learned as a person in recovery; model and mentor the recovery process and demonstrate life skills and coping skills key to a recovery lifestyle; provide one-on-one support and assist in developing, implementing, and supporting individualized recovery plans; facilitate groups to nurture a peer-support culture; assist and communicate through collaboration with appropriate internal staff; assist in the "readiness" and onboarding process of students who are new to accessing and engaging in educational services; compile and organize a comprehensive resource guide that outlines institutional and community services available; establish rapport and contacts within these agencies for referral, and collaborations; assist AREI participants access these identified resources; sustain an alumnae group and support network; support the implementation and coordinator of administrative duties such as data gathering, performance tracking, preparing and scheduling of activities, and implementation of supportive services. Assist with delivery of recovery training and workshops as needed. Assist in identifying and applying for recovery-related grants.Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Entry Salary: $22.96/hour

    Standard Work Week: 25 Hours
